I just heard a very juicy rumor (some stuff already on Technorati about this) that Adaptive Path is coming out with a very cool new Ajax application called Measure Map. The site is taking registration requests now.

People who are participating in the alpha are drooling. It’s apparently a blog analytics tool that crushes everything else out there. I also heard a few other things about it but am sworn to secrecy. I’m looking forward to seeing this first hand.

Wat mij het meeste boeide was de discussie over zoeken naar relevante informatie op het web en in dat verband de OPML-ontwikkelingen van Dave Winer.Hij vertelt ook dat hij vanwege de komst van www.memeorandum.com (volgens Robert een service met High Signal en Low Noise niveau) zijn weblog stijl op Scobleizer gaat veranderen: van een soort van link blog in een blog met zijn reactie op gebeurtenissen.

Word Up

We’ve got this new thing. It’s a free plug-in for Microsoft Word that works with Blogger. We call it Blogger for Word. Catchy? Maybe. Useful? You bet. With this little number, you can work in Word like you normally do and then save your document as a post to your Blogger blog. Once you install the plug-in and restart Word, some buttons will appear. These buttons allow you to publish, edit, and save as draft from within Word.

Omdat ik (nog steeds!) met Windows-machine werk kan ik uiteraard alleen iets van de windows versie vinden. Mwah .. .. zolang de WYSIWYG-interface ontbreekt (daardoor verschrikkelijk onhandig als je even een tabelletje of een lijstje wilt maken, of een lettertype wilt veranderen, enz enz) en het uploaden van plaatjes alleen bij TypePad en Movable Type blogs kan, blijf ik bij BlogJet.N.B. Ik begrijp dat de MacOSX versie wel WYSIWYG biedt.

Just finished an awesome BBQ where a few bottles of good wine were consumed. I took Buzz Bruggeman, CEO of ActiveWords, and Steve Broback, founder of the Blog Business Summit (coming next week), out on my back porch and recorded a conversation where we cover what’s happening in blogging and podcasting. Sorta a “set the tone for next week.”We talk about all sorts of things from Adam Curry to Donald Trump. And how customers are getting power in blogs that they hadn’t had before. Hope you enjoy it.
