Bucketworks is een plaats waar vrijwilligers proberen om creativiteit en ideeën bij jou te stimuleren en anderzijds uit jouw hoofd te halen en in werkelijkheid om te zetten. Een van de vehicels die ze daarbij willen inzetten is -je raadt het al– wiki:

Wiki is a Playful Way to Work

We all feel great about our great ideas, and we all share them with others we trust in some way. We talk to others we trust about them– we play out loud, because it is safe to share ideas with others we trust.

Yet despite all our passion for talking play, often our great ideas remain alive only in our playful speech and never in our lives or the lives of others– without speech.

If we’re lucky, some of our ideas are already being discussed online, or in certain places in our city, and we find those and we participate in them. Yet they remain discussions, in email, Yahoo Groups, or other forms.

Discussion and words are playful, and we enjoy play, at any age.

When it becomes time to make ideas real, wiki lets us keep playing while we work. Wiki is how we turn discussion into documentation, rap-session into planning-session, and meeting into collaboration–online.
