In FeedDemon the display of a feed (be it RSS or Atom) is named: a channel. One of the handy tricks of FeedDemon is the Search Channel. It connects to a feeds-searchengine – which you can choose from a list – and displays searchresults as titles within FeedDemon. This is a very effective means of searching for specific breaking news on the web or make a topic feed slurping the huge blogosphere. In FeedDemon 1.10 three new features make the Search Channels even more powerfull: The list of Search Channels can extend beyond the height of the “New Search Channel” dialog, with a scrollbar. Now you can use more than just a few Search Channels.Web search is added to browser toolbar. Together with tabbed browsing this brings the FeedDemon browser on the same level as Mozilla Firefox! The Search Channels can be installed into FeedDemon as easy as the FeedDemon styles. The Seach Channels have the new extension *.fdsrch and can be installed into FeedDemon just by clicking on the file.Tip: Try out the new Search Channels features! You can install one or more extra Search Channels: open this webpage in your FeedDemon browser and click on one or more of the hyperlinks in the blue box.
